Bust Half Dollars
1814/3 50C O-101, R.7, XF45 PCGS. The remnants of an undertype 3 show beneath the 4 in the date and there are two large dentils over the second T in STATES, identifying the popular O-101 variety. The late-state O-101a, with the extensive die cracks, is much more available than this earlier die state. Only light wear shows on the devices and the lightly abraded surfaces are blanketed in attractive shades of lavender-gray and golden-brown toning.
