Overton's "Patched" 3 die state, created when a mint worker attempt to solve the ungainly appearance of the O-101 "Broken" 3 by chiseling out a small area from the obverse die between the loops of the 3 in the date. A partly lustrous and problem-free example with rose-gold and sea-green peripheral patina.
