1836 50C Reeded Edge, GR-1, R.2 -- Tooled -- PCGS Genuine. Unc Details. This brilliant and partially reflective Reeded Edge half is extremely sharp for the issue if not for some harsh tooling on the upper-left reverse above the eagle's head, where graffiti or perhaps engraving was obliterated by a curved band of coarse lines. An overall faint ivory-gold patina drifts across the sharply defined surfaces, which retain their full luster despite the unfortunate damage.
