1844 50C MS63 NGC. CAC. WB Unlisted. Sharply struck with faint golden toning and strong mint luster throughout, this Select Uncirculated example is frosty and appealing with CAC endorsement. A few light marks are visible in the left obverse field that account for the assigned grade. The 2016 Bill Bugert Register of Liberty Seated Half Dollar Varieties, Philadelphia Mint 1839 to 1852 does not list this die pairing, which appears to be marriage of Obverse 10 in a slightly later die state than pictured, with Reverse K in an earlier state than shown. Census (all 1844 varieties): 14 in 63, 7 finer. CAC: 3 in 63, 4 finer (3/17).
