Seated Half Dollars
1847-O 50C Repunched Date, WB-103, Die Pair 4, R.3, MS64 PCGS. CAC. Struck from a later use of the Repunched Date obverse, with no doubling visible at the date. A richly toned Seated half from a high-mintage New Orleans date, with Choice surfaces imbued with copper-red, cobalt-blue, and olive-gray toning. The fields are smooth and partially reflective beneath the original and colorful patina. The 1847-O is conditionally rare in near-Gem or finer conditions. This example displays sharp definition except at the stars surrounding Liberty's head and the eagle's left (facing) talons. It is free of any significant marks or abrasions, CAC-endorsed for quality and strong eye appeal. Population (all varieties): 5 in 64 (2 in 64+), 2 finer. CAC: 5 in 64, 4 finer (3/17).
