Barber Half Dollars
1915 50C MS66 PCGS. The regions of the country served by the Philadelphia Mint had little need for additional half dollars from 1913 to 1915; none of the P-mint issues in those years broke the 200,000-coin mark, and in 1915, only 138,000 pieces were struck. This Premium Gem offers great quality from among the known survivors, richly toned blue-violet, peach, and gold with small streaks of light silver-gray. The streaks disguise the handful of true marks visible on each side, which are small in any event. The portrait has solid detail, and the eagle's talons are uncommonly well-defined. Population: 6 in 66 (2 in 66+), 0 finer (3/17).
