1897 50C PR64 Deep Cameo PCGS. A total of 731 proof sets were sold to collectors in 1897, including one of each silver denomination. The half dollars are moderately collectible in general, but those with Deep Cameo surfaces are rare. This is a black-and-white Choice proof Barber half with marked field reflectivity. A full strike is expected. Minor wisps occur over the portrait. Population: 4 in 64 (1 in 64+) Deep Cameo, 39 finer (3/17).
