Early Dollars
1796 $1 Small Date, Large Letters, B-4, BB-61, R.3, Fine 12 NGC. Bowers Die State III, both dies lapped. This moderately worn 1796 Small Eagle dollar displays grade-consistent detail with a lovely circulation cameo appearance. However, instead of light and dark gray hues, this coin shows tan-gray relief elements set against a sea of multicolor swirls that paint the fields. An old mark at the back of Liberty's head is the only singular abrasion. The rims grow slightly weak along the right-hand obverse and lower reverse.
