1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, 10 Arrows, B-13, BB-108, R.2, XF45 PCGS. Bowers Die State II. Relapping has removed the headless stick from BB-107, leaving 10 full arrows for BB-108. A diagnostic die crack runs between the lower-right tip of the L in LIBERTY to the dentils. A die flaw or series of lumps between the drapery line and the nearby point of star 13 confirms the BB-108 die marriage. This stone-gray example shows deeper toning around the stars and bits of olive-gray patina scattered about the obverse margin. Choice XF definition exists on all of the raised elements.
