Early Dollars
1798 $1 Large Eagle, Pointed 9, B-14, BB-122, R.3, VF35 NGC. Bowers Die State IV. The coin is evenly struck with complete dentils around each side. The definition is good on the stars, clouds, and eagle's wings, which are frequently weak in some form or another on many Heraldic Eagle Draped Bust dollars. This piece exhibits grade-consistent wear on the devices, while each side offers uniform golden-gray toning with sea-green undertones.
