1800 $1 B-2, BB-182, R.6 -- Rim Damage -- NGC Details. VG. Bowers Die State IIl. A radial die crack through the first A in AMERICA is characteristic of this rare die variety. Only a single example was confirmed when the Bolender early dollar reference was published in 1950, though others have emerged since. This example has a rim ding at 1:30 and appears slightly wavy, but the stone-white and steel-gray fields and devices are surprisingly unabraded.
