Seated Dollars
1872-CC $1 VF25 PCGS. OC-1, High R.3. Of the 3,150 dollars struck at Carson City in 1872, perhaps 250 survive. Problem-free examples require considerable patience to locate. The surfaces are uniformly dove-gray with a blush of russet color above Liberty's head. The reverse retains a hint of reflectivity. Although well-worn, much detail remains, particularly on the eagle.
