1864 2C Small Motto, FS-401, MS65 Red and Brown PCGS. The Small Motto is an ephemeral introductory subtype, seldom encountered relative to its Large Motto successor. This sharply struck Gem displays extensive orange-gold color, especially on the obverse. Abrasions are absent but we do note translucent residue near the reverse rim at 12 o'clock.
