1865 2C PR64 Red Cameo PCGS. Plain 5. Proof two cent production increased by as much as five times over the previous year, with the 1865 claiming a reported mintage of 500+ examples. Survivors are usually found uncontrasted with Red and Brown coloration, while those with Red surfaces and a Cameo designation are very rare. This near-Gem proof has flashy, pumpkin-gold surfaces.
