1889 3CN MS67 PCGS. The unpopular three cent nickel was finally eliminated in 1889, the series closing out with a mintage of 18,100 coins. Since the 1889 did not circulate to any great extent, survivors can still be found through MS65 and even MS66 with relative ease.
