1886 5C MS65 PCGS. A key date in the Liberty nickel series, with Mint State pieces in great demand. Most of the stars are flat on this imperfectly struck Gem, although it displays bold central details including the ear of corn in the left branch of the wreath. A remarkable example with satin luster beneath wispy champagne toning. Population: 47 in 65 (2 in 65+), 9 finer (3/17).
