1936-D 5C 3 1/2 Legs, FS-901, Fine 15 PCGS. CAC. Although the leftmost leg is not fully lapped away, the present Guide Book variety is significantly rarer than the famous 1937-D Three-Legged nickel. This circulated but unblemished example has green and gold accents against light nickel-gray surfaces.
Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2010), lot 3528, which realized $1,610.
