1943/2-P 5C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS67 PCGS Secure. This is a beautifully preserved, satiny Superb Gem with silvery interiors that cede to lovely multicolor border toning. The strike is a trifle incomplete on the steps of Monticello but otherwise bold. We note two microscopic marks, on Jefferson's chin and eyebrow, respectively, that uphold the grade. PCGS has seen only four non-Full Steps coins this fine and none finer (3/17). The Registry Set potential is unsurpassed for a non-Full Steps coin.
