Standing Liberty Quarters
1917-S 25C Type Two MS66+ Full Head PCGS. The 1917-S Type Two quarter is the most challenging of the six issues of this date in high grade Full Head. The present example is unusually sharp on the date, head, and shield lines, with only minor incompleteness of the rivets. The eagle's breast feathers show minor softness. Satiny mint luster displays a hint of light golden toning along with a dash of amber at the upper obverse. Finer examples are exceedingly rare. Population: 25 in 66 (2 in 66+) Full Head, 9 finer (3/17).
