Standing Liberty Quarters
1920 25C MS65 Full Head NGC. The 1920 is more elusive in Gem Full Head than one would expect considering its mintage of more than 27 million coins. This softly frosted, champagne-toned example is an interesting piece. The shield rivets, Liberty's head, and the eagle's feathers are needle-sharp -- truly full; but the shield lines are soft from die wear, and the lower obverse and upper reverse borders are weak due to misaligned dies. Census: 56 in 65 Full Head, 21 finer (3/17).
