Walking Liberty Half Dollars
1917-S 50C Obverse MS64 PCGS. The mintmark of the 1917-S half dollar was moved from the obverse field below IN GOD WE TRUST to the reverse periphery below the pine branch partway through 1917, creating two varieties of this issue. The Obverse Mintmark variant is the scarcer of the two in Mint State. This near-Gem displays a sharp strike and satiny luster with iridescent champagne toning. No major abrasions are observed.
