Walking Liberty Half Dollars
1935-S 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. While the 1935-S has a similar mintage to the 1934-S with 3.8 million pieces struck, it is not as challenging in Mint State. However, it is considerably scarcer than later S-mint issues. This lovely and inarguably original MS66 example features thick mint frost. An overlay of lilac-gray patina covers the centers with a ring of golden-russet toning around the margins. Very sharply struck with few flecks. PCGS reports just three finer examples (3/17).
