Franklin Half Dollars
1951-S 50C MS67 Full Bell Lines PCGS. CAC. The 1951-S Franklin half dollar is a scarce issue in high grade and examples in MS67 with Full Bell Lines are rare. This delightful Superb Gem is among the finest-known survivors, with sharply detailed obverse devices and Full Bell Lines on the reverse. The 1951-S is nearly always softly struck, and some slight blending shows on the center of the bell and the yoke details, but the lines at the bell bottom are complete. Both sides display attractive shades of green, lavender, and champagne-gold toning at the borders, with vibrant, frosty mint luster underneath. Close inspection reveals virtually no marks or mentionable distractions on either side. Importantly, there are no numerically finer coins at either service for this strike-challenged San Francisco issue. Population: 6 in 67 (1 in 67+) Full Bell Lines, 0 finer. CAC: 3 in 67, 0 finer (3/17).
