Large Cents
1807/6 1C Blunt 1, S-272, B-2, High R.4 -- Corrosion -- NGC Details. XF. Breen Die State I, with a perfect obverse die. If only the VF25 sharpness is considered, this piece would rank fourth or fifth finest of the variety. However, our net grade still maintains a position among the top dozen or so representatives. Olive-brown surfaces exhibit chestnut and steel toning with fine granularity on both sides and minor obverse scratches. Although a different coin, this piece is similar to the Frankenfield coin that is tied for 10th finest in the Bland Condition Census. Our EAC grade VG10.
