1885-CC $1 MS66 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. CAC. The 1885-CC Morgan dollar is famous for its contradiction between a low reported mintage and high savings rate in the Treasury and GSA holdings. That said, even this issue's generous population of Mint State survivors contains precious few pieces with the reflective contrast and surface quality seen here. Sharply struck devices showcase abundant mint frost that plays against the reflective and minimally toned fields, generating the Deep Mirror Prooflike effect. Only a few tiny marks and luster scrapes combine to preclude an even finer designation. Population: 49 in 66 (5 in 66+) Deep Mirror Prooflike, 2 finer. CAC: 14 in 66, 0 finer (3/17).
