Undated Franklin Half Dollar -- Struck 65% Off Center on a Quarter Planchet -- PR65 PCGS. Although there is no evidence of a date or mintmark, the polished proof quarter dollar planchet identifies this as a Philadelphia Mint product, issued between 1950 and 1963. PCGS designates the grade as PR65, but the Franklin half dollar strike appears to be from business dies. Struck widely off center toward 4:30. The letters LIB, HALF, and PLURIBUS UNUM are complete and a few other letters are partial. The lower left corner of the Liberty Bell is present, as is the upper left portion of Franklin's head.
