1928 $2 1/2 MS66+ PCGS. The is the finest certified 1928 Indian quarter eagle, the only MS66+ at either PCGS or NGC, with none finer (3/17). An extraordinary example, the frosty mint surfaces exhibit brilliant yellow-gold luster with traces of orange and mint-green toning on each side. The strike is far above average for this issue, and represents the design just as Bela Lyon Pratt intended. Both sides have pristine surfaces that exhibit only trivial marks. This piece likely ranks at or near the top of the Condition Census for the issue. Population: 13 in 66 (1 in 66+), 0 finer (3/17).
