1805 $5 BD-1, High R.3, MS62 NGC. Bass-Dannreuther Die State a/a, uncracked dies. BD-1 is the first and most plentiful 1805 half eagle die marriage, ideal for the collector seeking a single date representative in high grade. This Mint State example displays satiny yellow-gold mint luster with only minimal evidence of surface contact in the open areas of the fields.
