1891-CC $10 MS64 PCGS. Variety 1-A. Attribution is by the reverse, where the second C of the mintmark is directly below the trailing tip of the arrow-fletching and a die line appears within the shield. One of the best surviving 1891-CC eagles in general and of the 1-A variety in particular, this near-Gem has bright apricot-gold luster and eye appeal in spades. Though striking softness visits the highest design elements, the coin's relatively few scattered marks are no impediment to the MS64 grade. Small coppery accents on the reverse add character. A valuable piece for the high-end Carson City collector. Population: 4 in 64, 0 finer (3/17).
