Morgan Dollars
1879-S $1 MS68 NGC. Although plentiful in the absolute sense, the 1879-S Morgan dollar is conditionally scarce in MS68, the finest grade known (3/17). Prooflike coins are extremely rare this fine, and no Deep Prooflike pieces are so-graded. This coin displays brilliant surfaces surrounded by a halo of lemon-gold. The fields are flawless, and the frosty, sharp devices show only microscopic imperfections under a loupe. The eye appeal is outstanding.
