Morgan Dollars
1880-O $1 MS64 PCGS. Bands of vivid rainbow toning form a horseshoe shape that truly resembles a rainbow around the portrait of Liberty, and creates one of the most flamboyantly toned Morgans we have seen in recent memory. In contrast, the reverse is brilliant frost-white. The obverse strike is full on this well-produced New Orleans dollar, and the reverse definition is equally impressive except for some slight blending at one of the eagle's talons. The coin is remarkably unabraded. All of these things yield to the toning, though, which is surely unique among all toned Morgans. PCGS has certified just 44 numerically finer 1880-O examples.
