Morgan Dollars
1883-S $1 MS64 NGC. The 1883-S Morgan dollar was distributed to the public in large quantities shortly after its production, with minimal amounts of Mint State coins preserved for future collectors. This Choice example is what Dave Bowers refers to as being in the "optimal collecting grade" -- it is well-preserved and attractive, and finer pieces are rare. Radiant cartwheel luster illuminates deep amber-gold toning over the interiors, while the borders show blue and lavender. NGC has seen 16 higher-grade representatives (3/17).
