1885-CC $1 MS67 NGC. This popular Carson City issue is available in most Uncirculated grades after the GSA sales of the early 1970s, but Superb Gem examples are conditionally scarce and only a handful are known finer than MS67. This piece is frosty and brilliant with sharp detail and beautifully unblemished surfaces. There is a hint of reflectivity in the fields. Census: 96 in 67 (6 in 67 ★), 5 finer (3/17).
