1889-S $1 MS66 PCGS. The 1889-S dollar is scarce in Premium Gem condition, and Prooflike pieces are rare this fine. The current coin is not fully prooflike, although the fields are reflective. The coin is brilliant, and the strike is sharp. Frosty luster illuminates the central devices. We observe no mentionable abrasions. PCGS lists a single coin finer, NGC shows none (3/17).
