1892-S $1 AU55 PCGS. Mottled charcoal and antique-gray patina covers this minimally circulated San Francisco dollar. The highest points show light friction and small marks are scattered over each side, but this Choice About Uncirculated representative is far finer than the average 1892-S. This is perhaps one of the best-known condition rarities in the series. An exceedingly difficult example to improve upon with partial luster within the recesses.
