Morgan Dollars
1893-CC $1 MS60 PCGS. CAC. Collectors assembling GSA Carson City Morgan dollar collections will encounter three dates that are for the most part unobtainable in GSA plastic: the 1889-CC, 1892-CC, and 1893-CC. Each of these dates was represented by only a single coin in the GSA sales of the early 1970s. To fill these holes in a GSA collection, what better way than to acquire pieces in old green label PCGS holders -- another early, sought-after holder type. This CAC-endorsed 1893-CC is in an old green PCGS slab, and it has the original, frosty luster and scattered abrasions that would match the appearance of most GSA dollars of earlier dates. The strike weak in the centers, as usual for the issue. The fields show modest reflectivity.
