Morgan Dollars
1893-S $1 XF45 NGC. Light silver-gray surfaces with minimal wear on the highest points, just sufficient to prevent a full AU grade. This example retains considerable luster. The 1893-S issue is the lowest mintage Morgan dollar, and a rarity in all grades. It has gained substantially in popularity over the past few years, and maintains increased demand and associated higher price levels.
Ex: Dallas Signature (Heritage, 7/2006), lot 2926, where it brought $11,500.
