Morgan Dollars
1895-S/S $1 VAM-3 AU55 PCGS. A Hot 50 Variety. The old green label holder does not note the repunched mintmark, but this is the distinctive VAM with a horn-shaped remnant of a prior mintmark punch northwest of the S mintmark. Regardless of die variety, the 1895-S is a desirable, low mintage issue. In fact, it is key to a date set of Morgan dollars. This is a partly lustrous example with rim anomalies noted at 1:30 and 3 o'clock on the obverse, and at 9 o'clock on the reverse.
