1871 5C Five Cents, Judd-1051, Pollock-1185, R.5, PR64 Red and Brown PCGS. The obverse is similar to the issued three cent nickel, although larger in scale. The reverse features a bushy wreath with V above CENTS. CENTS is curved, and the Roman numeral V is shaded on the right. Struck in copper with a plain edge. This design was also struck in aluminum. This is a remarkably bright example with noticeably reflective fields. Varying amounts of original red and lilac patina are seen on each side.
