1871 5C Five Cents, Judd-1054, Pollock-1189, High R.6, PR64 Brown NGC. Longacre's three cent nickel Liberty motif is adapted for the nickel, although the arrangement of the denomination and wreath is more reminiscent of the two cent piece. Struck in copper with a plain edge. A pleasing Choice proof with mostly light tan surfaces and wisps of iridescent toning.
