1873 T$1 Trade Dollar, Judd-1276, Pollock-1418, R.5, PR64 NGC. Thirteen stars surround the figure of Liberty, who wears a coronet eponymously inscribed; the date 1873 is below. The reverse has the statutory legend around a wreath; inside are TRADE / DOLLAR / (ornament) / 420 GRAINS / 900 FINE. The base of the wreath displays a banner with the legend IN GOD WE TRUST. Struck in silver with a reeded edge. Examples were struck in silver (reeded and plain edge), copper, aluminum, and white metal. The fields are moderately bright and shine through the light blue-gray interiors that are surrounded by deeper blue margins.
