1855-C G$1 AU50 NGC. Variety 2. The 1855-C is the only Type Two gold dollar from the Charlotte Mint, making it one of the most highly sought-after C-mint gold dollars in the series. The issue is scarce in AU condition and rare in Mint State. This piece shows bold clashing on the obverse behind the Indian's head, with attractive deep orange-gold patina and no consequential marks.
