1856-C $2 1/2 -- Damage -- Genuine PCGS. AU Details. Variety 1. A lightly hairlined caramel-gold example of this low mintage Charlotte issue. The strike is fairly sharp, but strike-throughs (as made and usual for the issue) are present on the fields near the eagle and the first three stars. The PCGS notation corresponds to a hair-thin diagonal line on the cheek, and minuscule field digs below the chin and above the coronet.
