Indian Quarter Eagles
1909 $2 1/2 MS65 PCGS. This orange-gold, satiny Gem shows no singular abrasions, and if the luster were more vibrant, a finer grade might have been considered. A loupe reveals a few faint planchet striations in the right reverse field at certain angles, but the devices are well-struck. Although occasionally available in MS65, the 1909 Indian quarter eagle is rare any finer, where PCGS has graded just 20 examples (3/17).
