Indian Quarter Eagles
1911-D $2 1/2 MS62 NGC. Strong D, strong wire rim. This is an intricately struck example of the key Denver issue, showing satiny yellow-gold luster and fewer abrasions than expected for the grade. Only a few light lines in the reverse fields prevent a finer designation. The 1911-D Indian quarter eagle is heavily collected in the lower Mint State grades, as such pieces can usually be found for reasonable prices when compared to MS63 or MS64 coins.
