1872-CC $5 VF30 PCGS. From a low mintage of 16,980 pieces, the 1872-CC half eagle has a surviving population of 70 to 80 examples in all grades. This pleasing VF example shows a bold ribbon and motto, with even wear on Liberty's hair and the eagle's head. Lustrous, olive and yellow-gold surfaces are lightly abraded. Population: 10 in 30, 41 finer (1/14).
