Indian Half Eagles
1908-D $5 MS64+ PCGS. CAC. The 1908 Indian Head five was well-saved as the first-year issue, but its Denver counterpart was not. The '08-D is only available through MS64 and is genuinely rare at the Gem level. This Plus-designated coin is one of several dozen near-Gems to be awarded a CAC green label. The strike is sharp, and neither side exhibits mentionable abrasions. Beautiful orange and rose hues accent yellow-gold mint luster. There are 11 Gems and one Superb Gem finer at PCGS (3/17).
