Indian Half Eagles
1909 $5 MS65 PCGS. The 1909 is among the more accessible Indian Head fives in Gem condition, although it is still scarce at this level and rare finer. This example displays luminous satin luster with rich straw-gold coloration. The design elements show bold rendering, and a thorough search for abrasions turns up few blemishes. Housed in a first generation holder and showing strong quality for the grade. Only nine finer examples are reported by PCGS (3/17).
