Indian Half Eagles
1910-D $5 MS63 PCGS. CAC. A complete set of Denver Mint half eagles includes two Liberty Head issues and five Indian Head issues, and none are rarities, although the 1911-D is more challenging than the others. The 1910-D is plentiful in the marketplace, despite a seemingly low mintage of 193,600 coins. Examples in MS63 or finer grades are elusive. This Select Mint State example has frosty light yellow luster and minimal surface marks for the grade. It is sharply struck and quite appealing. PCGS has only certified 68 finer examples (3/17). CAC: 39 in 63, 14 finer (3/17).
