Indian Half Eagles
1916-S $5 MS63 PCGS. This is the last issue in the Indian Head five dollar series that can be considered collectible. Examples are always in high demand as the sole coins issued that year. The 1916-S claims a smallish production of 240,000 pieces and becomes scarce at the Select grade level. This orange-gold half eagle is strongly defined with softly glistening mint luster. Lightly scattered marks in the exposed fields do not overly detract.
